Unknown Update, But Ranking is Dramatically Going Down



On 17 Jan Every seo is saying that ranking have dropped dramatically. Some people are hoping this is an EMD update and some are hoping that this is a panda or penguin update, but there is no official announcement from the Google. I think it is a Google dance, so I hope that everything will be fine soon.
All articles I found online have added to the confusion.

A senior member at Webmaster World wrote today:

I'm seeing quite dramatic changes in SERPs today, I suspect quite a major update of some sort is crunching... too early to tell if it's Panda.

Update - No Update: Google has informed that there was no update. Here is their comment:

 It's not Panda. We asked around a little bit and didn't uncover any other likely suspects, but remember that Google launches over 500 algorithmic changes per year, so there are always small changes rolling out.
